10 best standalone AI crawler analytics tools (2026)
Ten AI crawler and AI-referral analytics tools ranked on log sources, bot verification and the crawl-to-citation join. Free options from Cloudflare and Known Agents; Promptwatch leads.
Prompt trackers tell you what an AI engine said. Crawler analytics tells you what it read first. GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot and the rest fetch your pages before any answer can cite them. If they hit a 403, a redirect loop or a page you never meant to expose, no amount of content work fixes the visibility problem.
This board ranks tools that report AI crawler activity and, ideally, the human visits AI answers send back. Three questions decide the order. Where does the data come from (server logs, a CDN, or a user-agent guess)? Does the tool verify that a bot is who it claims to be? And can it join a crawl to a citation, so you see which fetches ended up in answers?
How we picked
Catalog data and vendor pages read on 20 October 2026. Promptwatch facts come from promptwatch.com/llms.txt. Every tool here documents a crawler or bot-traffic feature on its own site. Prices are the lowest plan that includes the crawler feature, where the vendor says which plan that is. We left out tools whose crawler claims we could not separate from copied marketing text.
The ranking
1. Promptwatch
Promptwatch ranks first because Agent Analytics is joined to everything else. Real-time logs cover ChatGPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, GoogleOther and the Meta AI crawler, with error tracking and a crawl-to-citation path. Logs arrive from Cloudflare, AWS CloudFront, Fastly, Vercel, Netlify, Akamai, Google Cloud CDN or custom HTTP. The same workspace runs prompt tracking, citation analytics at page, Reddit and YouTube level, and visitor analytics with conversions. Per its founders, Promptwatch shipped AI crawler log tracking before most of the category. Professional is $245 a month with 25M crawler logs. Business is $579 with 100M. Agency Kick-off at $199 includes 10M. The limit: Explore and Essential do not include crawler logs.
2. Known Agents
Known Agents, formerly Dark Visitors, is the most complete bot-analytics product on this list. Agent Analytics shows which crawlers, scrapers and AI agents hit which pages, with spike alerts, error and redirect analysis, robots.txt violations and spoof verification. AI Chat Referral Tracking counts human visits from ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot and Perplexity. Data comes server side through WordPress, Cloudflare, Fastly, Akamai, AWS CloudFront, Google Cloud, Vercel, Node.js or a REST API. There is a free plan with 100K events. Startup is $29 a month for 1M events; Growth is $299 for 10M. The limit: no prompt tracking, and citation counts are estimates inferred from agent fetches.
3. Cloudflare AI Crawl Control
Cloudflare AI Crawl Control is free on every Cloudflare plan and needs no setup. It groups crawlers by operator, charts requests and data transfer, shows status codes from 2xx to 5xx and lists the most-requested paths. You can allow or block each crawler, which writes a WAF rule, and export data to CSV or GraphQL. Referral metrics need a paid Cloudflare plan, from $20 a month. The limit: it covers only traffic through Cloudflare, detects by user agent on the Free plan, and shows no citations at all.
4. Proofsource
Proofsource has the clearest crawl-to-citation view among the smaller tools. AI Traffic reads crawler requests from a Cloudflare zone or a log drain, checks each bot against published IP ranges or reverse DNS, and labels spoofed bots. Pages are sorted into crawled and cited, crawled but never cited, and cited but rarely crawled. GA4 adds AI-referred sessions, conversions and revenue. Pricing is per brand and question, from $9 a month (5 weekly ChatGPT questions). The limit: the GA4 connection is set up by the Proofsource team on a call, and only four engines are self-serve.
5. Honeyb
Honeyb runs a real server-log crawler module. You forward an existing log stream with no tag or DNS change. Each request is reverse-resolved to separate real crawlers from spoofed user agents, and crawls are matched to citations from ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Gemini, with reports on crawl gaps and access errors. Plans start at $29 a month and also include daily prompt tracking and a publishing content agent. The limit: the pricing page does not say which plans include Agent Analytics, and no specific CDN integrations are named.
6. Paprik AI
Paprik AI includes crawler data on every plan, from Solo at $49 a month. Connect Cloudflare and Paprik shows which bots requested which pages and what your server returned. Requests are grouped by company (OpenAI, Google, Anthropic, Perplexity, Apple, Amazon, Meta, ByteDance, Mistral) and by purpose: training, retrieval, search or live answers. It counts a page as read only when your origin served it, which filters out probes and 404s. GA4 adds AI referral sessions. The limit: Cloudflare is the only documented source, and Paprik itself calls user-agent attribution indicative rather than proof.
7. Surva.ai
Surva.ai adds crawler logs from its Growth plan at $119 a month. Upload Nginx or Apache access logs (up to 50 MB) or deploy a Cloudflare Worker. Bots are matched against a user-agent database refreshed hourly, including GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, Google-Extended and Meta-ExternalAgent. Reports break down by bot, page, status code and timestamp, with a crawler errors report. A JavaScript snippet tracks human AI referrals on every plan. The limit: its product page says JavaScript cannot see AI crawlers while its docs call a script the recommended option, so confirm the method.
8. Scrunch AI
Scrunch AI lists crawler traffic analytics next to its Agent Experience Platform, which serves AI-optimized versions of your pages to LLM crawlers without changing the human-facing site. It is the only tool here that changes what crawlers are served. Starter is $250 a month on annual billing ($300 monthly). The limit: our catalog documents no crawler-log product with bot hits, crawl-to-citation paths or error tracking, data refreshes weekly, and the company was acquired by Sitecore in June 2026.
9. Qwairy
Qwairy is a French GEO suite with crawler analytics, a referrer module and an AI revenue module on its Business plan, at €449 a month (€374 annual) with 800 prompts and 10,400 credits. Below that tier you get prompt tracking across 10+ engines, but no crawler view. Business also adds Looker Studio and alerts, so the crawler data can sit in the same reports as your prompt results. The limit: our catalog has no detail on Qwairy's log sources or bot verification, the product is credit-metered and analyses pause when credits run out.
10. AIGeschikt
AIGeschikt is a managed GEO service in Rotterdam for Dutch SMEs, not software you operate. Its package includes AI bot tracking that shows which AI crawlers visit your site, per page. It pairs that with 100 frozen Dutch buying questions measured about 1,300 times a week on five engines, and content written and published after your approval. Kern costs 299 EUR a month excl. VAT. The limit: there is no self-serve dashboard, and no visitor analytics or AI-referred conversions are described.

Who should pick which
On Cloudflare and only need to see and block bots? Turn on Cloudflare AI Crawl Control today.
Need bot analytics across Fastly, Akamai or Google Cloud with no interest in prompts? Known Agents has the widest source list and a free tier.
Small brand, tight budget, want verified bots joined to citations? Proofsource or Honeyb. Proofsource publishes how it prices; Honeyb does not say which plan includes the crawler module, so get that in writing.
On Cloudflare with $49 to spend? Paprik gives crawler data and prompt tracking in one plan.
Sitting on raw server logs? Surva accepts uploads.
Want to change what crawlers see, not just watch them? Scrunch's Agent Experience Platform is built for that.
Dutch SME with no marketing team? AIGeschikt does the work.
The case for Promptwatch
Every tool from #2 down answers one part of the question. The free tools show fetches. The cheap trackers join fetches to a mention. The step that matters for a budget meeting is the full chain: the bot read the page, the answer cited it, the visitor arrived, the visitor converted.
Promptwatch Professional runs that chain at $245 a month. Agent Analytics handles the fetch, with logs from eight named sources so you are not tied to one CDN. Citation analytics and citation trends show which pages, domains, Reddit threads and YouTube videos the answers used. Visitor analytics, installed by script or GTM template, ties AI-referred sessions to conversions. When a page is crawled but never cited, Content Agents can plan and publish a better one to Webflow, Framer or WordPress.
If you only need crawler controls, start with Cloudflare. If you need to prove what the crawling earned, start with Promptwatch: promptwatch.com.
