10 best local AI rank trackers for location-level visibility (2026)
Ranked: 10 tools that track AI answers by city, location or geo-grid, from Local Falcon's $24.99 credits to bundled suites. Promptwatch leads with city tracking on Business and every agency plan.
"Best dentist near me" can get one ChatGPT answer in Rotterdam and another in Utrecht. That's the whole reason Local Falcon samples the same prompt across a grid of points inside one service area. A national AI visibility score averages all of that away. For a multi-location brand, a franchise or a local SEO agency, the averaged number is close to useless.
This list ranks tools that publish a location-level signal: city-level prompts, per-location reports or a geo-grid of samples. Brand-only trackers are left out.
How we picked
Each tool's entry in our catalog had to document city, location or grid-level tracking. Prices and limits come from those entries. For the newest tools (Local Falcon, BrightLocal, Synup, AIrketing, AIShortlist) the vendor pages were read on 20 October 2026. Promptwatch facts come from its published plan sheet.
We scored three things. How fine the location grain is. How often it refreshes. And whether the tool shows anything past the answer: crawlers, citations, traffic. The third one decides the top spot.
The ranking
1. Promptwatch
Promptwatch tracks prompts by country on every paid plan, and by state and city from Business at $579/mo. All agency plans include state and city tracking, starting with Kick-off at $199/mo (unlimited projects and prompts, 10 seats). Location is set per monitor, so you can track a city where you have no address. Prompts refresh daily on ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Grok, Copilot, Google AI Overviews, AI Mode and more, with personas and query fan-outs. The part no other tool here publishes: Agent Analytics logs AI crawler visits to each location page with a crawl-to-citation path, and visitor analytics ties AI-referred visits to conversions. Business also includes 350 prompts, 42,000 responses and 100M crawler logs. The limit: Essential ($95/mo) and Professional ($245/mo) track by country only, so local work starts on Business or an agency plan.
2. Local Falcon
Local Falcon is the literal answer to "does AI recommend me in this part of town". It sends the same prompt from every point on a grid, from 3x3 (9 points) to 21x21 (441), and maps where you're named. Platforms: ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Overviews, AI Mode and Grok. Reports show Share of AI Voice, a Buyer Persuasion Score from -10 to +10, brand phrases, sources and competitors. Starter is $24.99/mo for 7,500 credits, with unlimited keywords and locations and 100 free credits. The limit is the meter. One credit is one grid point, so 10 keywords on a 9x9 grid, four times a month, burns 3,240 credits for a single location.
3. Uberall GEO Studio
Uberall GEO Studio comes from the Berlin location marketing platform and was built in partnership with AthenaHQ. It tracks share of voice, citations, mentions and brand traits by persona, location and competitor. Sources break down by domain, page and social platform, and content publishes to WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, Wix or Framer after approval. GEO Starter is $109/mo, but location-level tracking and daily runs start on GEO Scale at $449/mo (150 prompts, 5 engines). All 11 engines need the custom Studio plan. Its own pages disagree on the engine count, nine on the product page and 11 on pricing. The limit: the location view costs $449 a month.
4. BrightLocal Local AI Visibility
BrightLocal Local AI Visibility is included at no extra cost on BrightLocal's Track, Manage and Grow plans. For one location those are $41, $54 and $65 a month, or $31, $40 and $49 billed annually. Each location gets up to 20 prompts, anchored to that location, on ChatGPT, Google AI Mode and Google AI Overviews. The 0 to 100 score is measured against the local competitors AI actually recommends, and citation gaps can go straight into Citation Builder. Runs are weekly, monthly or on demand. The limit: three engines, a hard cap of 20 prompts, and no export or white-label yet.
5. Birdeye Search AI
Birdeye Search AI sits inside Birdeye's reviews and listings platform. It reports a Visibility Score and share of voice by brand and by location across seven engines: ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Mode, AI Overviews, Grok and Claude. An Accuracy report traces wrong hours or addresses to their source, and agents hand fixes to listings, blog and FAQ work. That's the widest engine list among the suite vendors here. The limit is buying: no published price, sales by location band, a monthly default scan, and prompts metered by location times engine times query. Unused prompts don't roll over by default.
6. Synup AEO
Synup AEO is a beta module in Synup's local marketing suite. For each location it writes 16 local discovery prompts that name the category and city but not the business. It runs them on ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity and builds a 0 to 100 AI Visibility score with a prompt-by-engine grid, competitor gaps and citation coverage. Pricing is per location with every feature on every plan: Solo is $49/mo for 1 location, Premium $299/mo for up to 10. White-label starts on Premium. The limit: reports refresh monthly, you can't regenerate the current month, and the pages we read don't describe adding your own prompts.
7. AIrketing
AIrketing is a Spanish tool that sets country, city and language on each prompt. It then runs every prompt weekly on ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Mode, AI Overview and Google Search. One row per prompt per city shows organic rank next to AI presence, and the Google local pack lists nearby competitors with ratings. Stability labels (always, sometimes, never over 4, 12 or 24 weeks) are a sensible way to read noisy answers. Pro is €18/mo or €16/mo annually, excl. VAT, for 20 prompts. Every plan has every feature. The limit: weekly only, with no Claude and no API.
8. Reputation AI Location Presence Insights
Reputation AI Location Presence Insights is a per-location dashboard inside Reputation's reviews and listings platform. It shows listing accuracy (what AI thinks your address, phone and hours are), mentions, visibility, sentiment and topic sentiment on ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity. Reputation's FAQ calls it a no-cost upgrade for Business Listings or RepCore customers. Rep Core lists at $80 per location per month, through a sales call. The limit: three engines, a monthly refresh on the 1st by default, and API-based queries that Reputation itself warns may differ from the consumer apps.
9. Yext Scout
Yext Scout benchmarks how AI engines and Google cite each of a brand's locations against up to 20 local competitors. Recommendations route into Yext's Listings, Reviews and Pages products. The catalog lists a Scout Index of 2B+ monthly data points across 9M business-location pairs, which is a large base for local comparison. Coverage is about four engines (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, plus Claude or Grok depending on rollout), and Yext's own pages disagree on which four. The limit: no public price at all. Scout is packaged into Yext platform deals rather than sold as a line item.
10. AIShortlist
AIShortlist is an Istanbul-built tracker with Turkish and English sites. It measures approved buyer questions weekly on ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity through official APIs with web search on. Each question set can be tied to a country or a city, which is why it makes this list. Paid plans add a site crawl with AI bot access checks, page text suggestions and AI fact accuracy checks. Growth adds a second question set and daily tracking for 5 questions. Lite costs $29/mo for 10 weekly questions. The limit: the city is set per question set, not per prompt, so one city per set.

Who should pick which
If you need city-level answers you can act on, and you want to know whether the location page was crawled and whether the AI referral converted, start with Promptwatch Business, or Kick-off if you're an agency. If you think in map pins and neighbourhoods, no other tool here samples at Local Falcon's grain, but price your credit burn before you commit. Already paying BrightLocal, Birdeye, Synup, Reputation or Yext for listings? Turn on their AI module, since it's bundled or close to it, and treat it as a monthly pulse. Uberall makes sense when publishing per location matters and the $449 tier fits. AIrketing and AIShortlist suit single-market SMEs on small budgets.
Most suites here stop at the answer. They report whether a location was named, not why, and not what it was worth. That's why Promptwatch is first: city tracking, crawl data and conversions in one place. Start at promptwatch.com.
