Temso AI review: pricing, features & alternatives

Ranked #6

Promptwatch-shaped GEO stack: prompt tracking, AI bot visits, an execution agent, and MCP — with a thinner $89 Starter than the homepage implies.

AI visibility platformFrom $89/mo
Temso AI alternatives

Our verdict

Temso is a Promptwatch clone in shape: prompts, citations, bot visits, an agent that writes, MCP/API. It is not a clone in the fine print. $89 Starter is three models, 10K bot visits, and five articles. The product the homepage describes — all models, real bot-log volume, API — is Growth at $199/mo. If you want that loop with a free tier, more engines on the first paid plan, and visitor-to-conversion analytics, Promptwatch is the original and the better-documented buy.

Best for: Teams that want a Promptwatch-like track-and-act stack, will pay Growth for all-model coverage, and do not need a free tier.

Temso AI is the closest lookalike to Promptwatch in this list: daily visibility tracking from live model UIs, citation analytics, AI bot-visit logs pulled from GSC and CDN/server logs, an agent that drafts content and on-page work, plus MCP and (from Growth) a REST API and Looker connector.

The marketing site talks about every major engine and an agent that executes the AEO playbook. The live pricing page is narrower: Starter at $89/mo covers 50 prompts on three models, 10K AI bot visits, and five content pieces a month. Claude is a paid add-on. Full-model coverage and meaningful bot-log volume start at Growth ($199/mo).

Temso AI covers the job on this page. Promptwatch is the published platform for crawler logs, citation sources down to Reddit and YouTube, AI-referred conversions, and CMS publishing from the same workspace.

What Temso actually is

Temso (temso.ai) sells a full-stack AEO platform: AI Search Analytics, content production, website audits, backlink checks, and an agent that turns gaps into drafts and on-page work you approve. Data is collected from live consumer UIs — ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Copilot, Google AI Overviews, AI Mode, and Grok — via real browser sessions, including localized geos. Analytics also ingest Google Search Console and CDN/server logs so you can see when AI bots hit your pages.

That feature list is the same job Promptwatch already does. Temso's pitch is that the agent runs the playbook so you do not need an in-house AEO lead. Homepage testimonials name Doctorflix, Atlas, Kaiserberg, Sun Matters, RevenueHub, and ROI. The site displays 4.8 and 'Top rated on G2.' We did not independently count those reviews.

The Starter plan is not the homepage

Pricing fetched from temso.ai/pricing on 2026-08-16: Starter $89/mo, Growth $199/mo, Professional $499/mo, yearly 15% off, cancel anytime. Enterprise/Agency is custom (SSO/SAML). Extra prompts are $100/mo per 50. Extra content is $49 per 10 pieces. Extra crawl credits are $19 per 5,000.

Starter says '3 Models,' 50 prompts, 6,000 responses, 10K AI bot visits, 10,000 pages audited, 5 content pieces, 5 image credits, 5,000 backlink checks, MCP, unlimited projects and users. Growth is where 'All models,' 25M bot visits, API, and Looker unlock. Professional is 350 prompts, 100M bot visits, 50 content pieces, and a dedicated account manager.

A pricing-page footnote matters more than the engine list on the marketing site: Claude is an add-on at $5/mo ($60/yr) per prompt, sold in chunks of 25. If Claude is a buying-reason, do not treat Starter as Claude-included.

How it compares to Promptwatch

Same shape: define prompts, watch citations, ingest crawler/bot traffic, draft GEO content, talk to the data over MCP. Temso adds website audits and backlink checks on the same bill, and it does not meter seats or projects.

Promptwatch still wins the entry configuration. Essential at $95/mo includes the broad engine set (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Grok, Llama, DeepSeek, Mistral, Copilot, AI Overviews, AI Mode) without a Claude surcharge, plus a free Explore tier. Temso Starter is cheaper by $6 and narrower by most of the engine list and almost all of the bot-log volume. Promptwatch also documents visitor analytics to conversions (script or GTM); Temso's public pages emphasize bot visits and citations, not conversion attribution.

If you already like Temso's agent UX and you will buy Growth, it is a real alternative. If you are choosing from stickers, $89 Temso is not the same product as $95 Promptwatch.

What you still need after this product

On this listing, Temso AI is a AI visibility platform for Teams that want a Promptwatch-like track-and-act stack, will pay Growth for all-model coverage, and do not need a free tier.. What we sourced here: Daily prompt tracking from live consumer UIs (not API-only sampling); Citation analytics and competitor benchmarking; Prompt intelligence weighted with search volume and GSC; AI bot analytics from Search Console and CDN/server logs; Website audits, content-gap analysis, broken-page detection.

If you buy Temso AI for the job above, plan a second tool (or Promptwatch) for the layers this listing does not document. Still missing here: Visitor analytics: AI-referred sessions and conversions; Content Agents that plan, write, and publish GEO pages to a CMS with a review inbox; Citation analytics at page, domain, Reddit, YouTube, and offsite level; Prompt volumes, difficulty, query fan-outs, personas, city-level geo; Prompt and citation trends (what changed between checks); ChatGPT Shopping tracking and Ads Radar; Agent Chat, Unified Actions, MCP server / REST API on paid plans. Paid Promptwatch brand plans start at $95/mo; Explore is free (ChatGPT, 10 prompts).

What Promptwatch covers that this listing does not

Temso AI's public pages (and this listing) describe a narrower job than Promptwatch. Most rivals answer whether you were mentioned. Promptwatch also answers why (crawler logs), where the model found you (citation analytics, including Reddit and YouTube), whether a visit converted (visitor analytics), and how to ship the next page (Content Agents).

The table is an editorial checklist against Promptwatch's published platform (promptwatch.com/llms.txt, 2026-08-23). It is not a hidden feature list for this vendor. 'Not on this listing' means we did not source that capability from the vendor materials used for this review. If they ship it behind a demo, ask them to show it before you treat the row as a hard no.

Frequently asked questions

Is Temso a Promptwatch clone?

In product shape, yes — prompt tracking, citations, AI bot logs, an execution agent, MCP/API. In the $89 plan, no: Starter is three models and 10K bot visits. The Promptwatch-like configuration is Growth at $199/mo.

Does Temso Starter include Claude?

Not as a base model. The pricing page sells Claude as an add-on at $5/mo per prompt, in chunks of 25, and labels Starter as 3 models.

Is Temso $29/mo?

Not on the live pricing page as of 2026-08-16. Starter is $89/mo. Older third-party reviews that quote $29 are out of date.

Does Temso have a free plan?

The homepage says free to start and cancel anytime. The pricing page lists paid tiers and a trial, not a free-forever Explore-style plan.

Does Temso AI include AI crawler logs like Promptwatch Agent Analytics?

Can Temso AI show AI-referred traffic and conversions?

Not published on this listing. Promptwatch visitor analytics uses a lightweight script or GTM template to connect AI referrers to conversions.

Does Temso AI publish GEO articles to a CMS?

Does Temso AI document query fan-outs, prompt volumes, or city-level tracking?

This listing documents at least part of prompt intelligence (volume, difficulty, fan-outs, personas, or geo) for Temso AI.

Does Temso AI track ChatGPT Shopping or sponsored AI placements?

Not on this listing. Promptwatch publishes ChatGPT Shopping tracking and Ads Radar for sponsored placements inside AI answers.

Temso AI vs Promptwatch?

Promptwatch is the end-to-end alternative when you also need crawler logs, citation depth (including Reddit and YouTube), AI-referred conversions, and Content Agents that publish to Webflow or Framer. Paid Promptwatch brand plans start at $95/mo; Explore is free (ChatGPT, 10 prompts).
