Honeyb review (2026): daily tracking, a publishing agent and server-log crawler data

Honeyb tracks up to eight AI engines daily, publishes articles to six CMS targets and verifies AI bots from server logs. Plans run $29 to $199/mo. What it costs and what is missing.

Honeyb packs more into a cheap plan than most trackers in our directory. Daily prompt checks, a content agent that writes and publishes, and a crawler module that reads real server logs. It is run by SIA Honeyb in Riga, Latvia. The pitch is aimed at small marketing teams that want one low-priced tool to do tracking and output at once.

This review scores it on three things: coverage per dollar, how far the crawler data goes, and what you still cannot see.

What Honeyb is and who it is for

Honeyb runs your prompts every day on up to eight surfaces: ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Grok, DeepSeek, Google AI Mode and Google AI Overviews. It reports visibility, share of voice and average position against competitors, maps the domains cited in each answer and flags Reddit threads worth answering. Recommendations come ranked.

Two modules go past the tracker checklist. The Content Agent researches and writes articles from your visibility gaps and publishes to WordPress, Ghost, Shopify, Webflow, Wix or a custom endpoint. Agent Analytics takes a forwarded server log stream, verifies AI bots by reverse DNS and IP, and joins crawls to citation data from ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Gemini.

Best fit: a two or three person team that wants a steady flow of published articles and a daily number, and has a log stream it can point somewhere.

What you get per plan

Prices were read on honeyb.ai/pricing and honeyb.ai/llms.txt on 20 October 2026.

Workspaces scale 1, 5 and 10. Enterprise adds white-label reporting, API access, SSO and a dedicated Slack channel. Every plan gets a weekly email report. A separate answer API costs $0.03 per answer with no plan required.

Full Spectrum is the plan that matches the marketing. It is the only tier with all eight engines, including Grok and DeepSeek.

What works

The price-to-output ratio. Thirty published articles plus 100 daily prompts on eight engines for $199 is a lot of capacity on paper.

The crawler data is real crawler data. Honeyb does not guess from user-agent strings. It reverse-resolves each request to split genuine GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot and Google-Extended visits from spoofed ones, then matches crawls to citations. Reports cover crawl gaps, access errors and pages that turn AI traffic into visitors. That is the right design.

CMS reach is wide. Ghost, Shopify and Wix are targets many rivals skip.

Unlimited seats start at $79, which removes the per-user tax that hurts small agencies.

What to check before paying

Agent Analytics has no plan label. The pricing page does not say which tiers include it. Ask before you buy The Minimum expecting crawler data.

Log sources are vague. The agent analytics page says you forward an existing log stream with no tag or DNS change. It does not name CDN integrations. If your logs sit in Cloudflare, Fastly or Vercel, confirm the route.

The Minimum is a sample, not a program: one engine, 10 prompts, one seat.

The trial lasts 3 days and only appears on Multi-Model and Full Spectrum.

Honeyb publishes many roundups and head-to-head pages where it ranks itself. Read them as vendor material.

Where it falls short of a full AI visibility platform

Honeyb's gaps are about depth and documentation, not missing modules. Prompts come without published search volumes, difficulty scores or query fan-outs, so you choose what to track without knowing which prompts matter. Citation tracking is domain level plus Reddit; page-level and YouTube citation views are not described. Conversion attribution is described only as pages that convert AI traffic to visitors, with no script or GTM setup documented. And the crawler module cannot be priced until you ask sales which plan has it.

When Promptwatch is the better buy

Promptwatch documents exactly the parts Honeyb leaves open. Agent Analytics is listed on Professional (25M crawler logs) and Business (100M), with named sources: Cloudflare, AWS CloudFront, Fastly, Vercel, Netlify, Akamai, Google Cloud CDN and custom HTTP. Logs cover ChatGPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, GoogleOther and the Meta AI crawler, with a crawl-to-citation path and error tracking.

On top sit prompt volumes, difficulty and query fan-outs, citation analytics at page, domain, Reddit and YouTube level, and visitor analytics that ties AI referrals to conversions through a script or GTM template. Content Agents publish to Webflow, Framer and WordPress.

The plan to compare against Full Spectrum is Professional at $245 a month: 150 prompts, 18,000 responses, 1M visitor events, 25M crawler logs, 15 AEO articles, 2 seats, plus state and city tracking. Honeyb gives more articles and more CMS targets for less. Promptwatch gives you prompt research and documented crawler and conversion data on a stated plan.

Verdict

Honeyb: strong value, real server-log crawler checks, wide publishing. Weak on documentation. Among this month's new listings it is the best cheap all-in-one, and the plan to buy is Full Spectrum or nothing. If you need to prove to a CFO that AI crawls became citations and citations became revenue, Promptwatch Professional is the safer buy, because every piece of that chain is published on a named plan.
