AI Search Console vs GeoRankers (2026): client PDFs or a weekly SaaS scorecard
AI Search Console sells client PDF reports from $45/mo on undefined daily credits. GeoRankers is a weekly three-engine scorecard for B2B SaaS from $49/mo. Which to pick, and when neither fits.
AI Search Console and GeoRankers both entered our directory this month, both start under $50, and both track the standard set: prompts, competitors, cited sources. They are built for different buyers. AI Search Console is an agency reporting tool. GeoRankers is an in-house scorecard for B2B SaaS marketers. The data quality questions are also different, and they decide the pick more than the price does.
The one-sentence difference
AI Search Console turns tracked answers into PDFs you can send to clients, while GeoRankers turns them into a weekly to-do list scored per engine.

How AI Search Console works
Pricing was read on the search-console.ai homepage on 20 October 2026. The whole site is one page. Starter is $45 a month for 60 credits a day and 1 project. Pro is $195 for 360 credits a day and 2 projects. Business is $495 for 960 credits a day and 5 projects. The footer names TeamVerses Inc. of Dover, Delaware. Despite the name, nothing on the site claims a link to Google.
The feature list is solid for a tracker: visibility score per prompt, competitor rankings by visibility, sentiment, share of voice and position, a source view down to individual URLs with citation rates, a full answer history with model and citations, and client-ready PDFs with top prompts, cited sources, competitor gaps and suggested actions.
Two problems. First, the site never says what one credit buys. Second, it cannot agree on engines: one section names ChatGPT, Google AI Mode and Perplexity, the pricing cards show ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity. The FAQ also does not say whether answers come from the consumer apps or from APIs. No documentation, no llms.txt, no named team.
How GeoRankers works
Pricing was read on georankers.ai/pricing and llms.txt on 20 October 2026. Launch is $49 a month or $41 billed quarterly: 30 prompts, 450+ answers analyzed, 5 competitors, 1 seat, weekly runs plus 1 on-demand run. Grow is $159 or $129 quarterly: 60 prompts, 1,100+ answers, 10 competitors, 3 seats, 3 on-demand runs and report export. Enterprise is custom.
GeoRankers makes two sensible design calls. Each engine gets its own score, so a hole in Perplexity is not hidden by a good ChatGPT number. And recommendations come from rules applied to tracked data, with AI used only to phrase them. Prompt sets must cover five buying intents (discovery, trust, pricing, use case, comparison), which forces SaaS teams past vanity prompts. A Content Hub flags pages as gaps or as needing work and drafts outlines. A GEO Agent chat answers questions about your data, with overage at $0.01 per conversation.
The limits are the cadence and the memory. Weekly runs, a manual run at most every 24 hours, and a trend window of 30 or 60 days. Gemini and Grok are listed as coming soon. Slack alerts, the GA and Search Console integrations and the API are roadmap items. The pricing page shows only quarterly prices, while llms.txt lists monthly prices and mentions a Free plan.
Who should pick which
Pick AI Search Console if you are a small agency with one or two clients and the deliverable is a PDF. Use the no-card trial to find out what a credit covers and which engines actually run before you pay $195.
Pick GeoRankers if you are a SaaS marketer who wants a cheap weekly read on three engines with a rules-based task list. Accept that it is a scorecard, not a record of what changed.
The Promptwatch option
Both tools stop at the answer. Neither publishes crawler logs or traffic attribution, so neither can tell you whether the page you wrote got fetched, cited or clicked.
Promptwatch covers that chain. Agent Analytics logs ChatGPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, GoogleOther and Meta AI crawler visits with a crawl-to-citation path. Visitor analytics ties AI referrals to conversions through a script or GTM. Prompt and citation trends show what changed between checks, which GeoRankers' 30-day window cannot.
For agencies the comparison is direct: AI Search Console Pro is $195 for 2 projects, and Promptwatch's agency Kick-off is $199 a month for unlimited projects and prompts, 10 seats, 10,000 responses and 10M crawler logs. For a single SaaS brand, Essential at $95 a month covers 50 daily prompts across all tracked LLMs.
Verdict
AI Search Console: good report output, too many unanswered questions. GeoRankers: honest, well documented, slow. Neither is a system of record. For a team that has to defend AI search spend, start with Promptwatch and use either of these only if the budget is under $100 and a weekly snapshot is enough.
FAQ
Is AI Search Console made by Google?
No. It is an independent product from TeamVerses Inc., and its site does not claim any link to Google Search Console.
How often does GeoRankers refresh?
Weekly by default. Launch adds 1 on-demand run a month and Grow adds 3, with a manual run allowed at most once every 24 hours.
Which one is better for agencies?
AI Search Console, because of the client PDFs, but its project caps (1, 2 or 5) get expensive. Promptwatch's agency plans have no project cap.
